Terms and Conditions

By booking and receiving services from Haley Lambert RMT, you agree to the following terms and conditions to ensure a safe, respectful, and professional experience for both the client and therapist.

1. Scope of Services

Massage therapy services are provided for therapeutic, relaxation, and general wellness purposes only. Your therapist does not diagnose medical conditions or prescribe treatments outside their scope of practice.

2. Client Responsibilities

  • Complete a health intake form before your first session.
  • Inform the therapist of any changes to your health status before each appointment.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and arrive on time.

3. Informed Consent

You will be asked to give informed, written consent before receiving massage therapy. You may withdraw consent or stop treatment at any time.

4. Cancellation Policy

  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule appointments.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a $20 fee.
  • Missed appointments without notice (“no-shows”) will be charged 50% of the scheduled appointment fee.
  • Three missed appointments (“no-shows”) will require full payment of any outstanding balance before rescheduling online.

5. Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to end at the scheduled time, and the full session fee will still apply.

6. Payment

  • Payment is due at the time of service.
  • Accepted methods: cash, e-transfer, credit card, debit.
  • Direct billing may be offered to select insurance providers but is not guaranteed.

7. Professional Boundaries

Massage therapy is strictly non-sexual. Any inappropriate behavior will result in the immediate termination of the session and may be reported.

Respectful communication is expected at all times.

8. Refusal of Service

Services may be refused if:

  • The client appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • There is a risk to therapist safety (e.g., aggressive behavior, contagious illness)
  • The client fails to respect clinic policies or professional boundaries

9. Privacy and Confidentiality

All personal and health information is kept confidential in accordance with Alberta’s Health Information Act (HIA) and Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). For full details, please refer to our [Privacy Policy].

10. Limitation of Liability

While massage therapy is generally safe, clients are responsible for disclosing all relevant health conditions. Haley Lambert RMT is not liable for injuries or adverse effects resulting from undisclosed medical conditions or failure to follow post-treatment instructions.
